Happy Halloween!

Crafty Students are officially back in the game. After a lengthy hiatus, knitting needles are clicking once again, sewing machines have been dusted off, crochet hooks have been dipping in and out of balls of wool! Yup, it's fair to say that the pair of 21 year old grannies have returned!

Here are the results of my pumpkin carving and decorating endeavours:

Spreading Some Love.

A long time ago, a very dear friend asked ever so kindly if I would knit him a pair of gloves. After putting the task on the long finger for quite some time, I finally got down to casting on some stitches and clicking away until a pair of gloves lay in my lap.
They are incredibly easy to make. I knitted two flat pieces and then sewed them up leaving an opening for the thumb. They are also super quick to knit which is always a plus considering how lacking I am in patience!

This photo was taken by the recipient, the talented Heber Hanly. You can check out more of his photography on his blog.

I also found this absolutely charming knitting-related video below. I have never seen anything like it before. It's truly fantastic.

Have a wonderful day.

Ball Dress in Progress

Hello all!

Below are a few pics of a work in progress. Have done the mock up of the dress but haven't finished the final sewing. Not sure about the shape of it at the moment, any suggestions? I'm in need of inspiration, this project has been my baby for quite a while but its high time I got it finished up!

Brid and I are in exams at the moment. Stress. But expect lots of christmas posting after they're out of the way.

Luvies,
Nat
